I’m asking for you to pray for my husband. He is an alcoholic. Thing is he admits it. He has tried to stop drinking and goes two to three months at a time, but when he starts drinking he has to drink all he bought. He drinks beer. So if he buys a 30 pk he has to drink it all. He goes to church with me at times or will watch on tv. He has ordered Bible study books for the two of us but they still haven’t gotten here. I don’t say anything to him about his drinking as I had an abusive alcoholic husband before. Anyway this is probably too much info so I just need prayers for us. Please. I love him and he loves me truly. We are in our late 60’s. He has many medical problems and he says it helps with the pain.
Prayer for Husband Battling Alcoholism
Heavenly Father, I lift up Tawasrose1’s husband to You. Lord, You see his struggle with alcohol and the burden it places on his health and relationship. We pray for Your strength to help him overcome this battle and for Your peace to fill his heart, replacing any need for alcohol to cope with pain. Surround him with Your love, and grant wisdom and patience to both of them as they navigate this difficult journey. Please bring healing to his body and soul and let the Bible study they await be a source of encouragement and growth. Strengthen their marriage and draw them closer to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts seeking Your grace, wisdom, and healing. We lift up this husband who struggles with alcoholism, asking that You meet him in his struggle. We thank You for his honesty and his efforts to change, but we also ask for Your strength to overcome this bondage. Help him find healthier ways to manage his pain and medical conditions.
We pray for his wife, who loves him dearly and has stood by his side through many challenges. Lord, grant her continued patience, peace, and resilience. May their relationship grow in love, unity, and faith. Strengthen them as they journey together towards deeper intimacy with You. We ask for Your blessing on their marriage, for the Bible study materials to arrive, and for them to be tools to deepen their spiritual connection.
Lord, guide them both as they seek Your will in their lives. Surround this man with the support, encouragement, and grace he needs to walk away from addiction for good. May he find complete freedom and healing through the power of Your Holy Spirit. And we trust that You hear this wife’s heart and will continue to sustain them both in Your love. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
This prayer is offered from the depths of love and faith, trusting that God is at work. May He give you both strength, healing, and the breakthrough you need.
Father. You are truly the Miracle Worker!!! Father. You are Divine. Father. You bring miracles daily, out of the blue. Father I pray you bro g a miracle to this family, just like you did mine. Father while I thought my last night of horrific drinking and chaos, you brought sobriety to me, to my family. Father you took things away to accomplish this, your will. But Father!! You gave so much in return when I turned to you. Father you slammed me into a program of recovery, where I could truly come to not only “believe” in you, but to truly trust and have faith in you. Father. You do solve all my problems. Father. As hard as it may be, do for this family what you did for mine. Give her strength to practice tough love if that is what is needed, to leave the relationship for a while, if that is what is needed. Discipline seems awful at first, but what it produces cannot be fathomed. Father. Help this family. Heal her husband like you did me, my family. In Jesus name I pray your glorious will, amen. 4/9/13
Heavenly Father, we come before You with a humble heart, lifting up this prayer for healing and miracles. Father, You are indeed the Miracle Worker! You are Divine and full of grace, and we thank You for the miracles You perform daily. Just as You transformed the life of this individual, we pray that You bring a miracle to this family. Lord, when they are struggling, may they feel Your presence and experience the same transformative power that has touched so many lives.
We ask for strength for this family, especially for the one who needs to practice tough love if that is what is required. Grant them wisdom to make difficult decisions and the courage to take the steps needed for healing and restoration. Help them understand that discipline, while challenging, produces growth and healing in ways that are often beyond our understanding. Father, we pray for healing for her husband, just as You healed this individual and their family. Let Your will be done in their lives, and may they come to trust and believe in You fully, as they navigate through these challenges. In Jesus’ name, we pray Your glorious will. Amen.
