For my son's depression

My son Luke, who lives in an apartment close by, came by his family home last night saying he was hungry and wondered if he could have dinner. He said he didn’t have much food at home and hadn’t eaten much recently. His hoodie hid his tearful eyes, and I sensed that life is something he’s struggling with right now. Please pray for his soul, for his current unknown situation, and that God would reveal Himself in such a way that Luke discovers his purpose in life and that he is loved!!

Please Lord Jesus Give Luke some spirit filled friends to come around and pray with him and to let him know that he is not alone for we know your plans for us says the Lord plans for hope and for a future… for good and not for evil to give us an expected end. May you tugg at his heart to be drawn to Church and that he finds comfort in your word in Jesus name

Heavenly Father, I lift up Scott LaPoint’s son, Luke, before You. Lord, You see him in his struggles, in his hunger, not just for food but for something deeper, something eternal. You see the tears he tries to hide, the weight he carries, and the questions in his heart. Father, I ask that You reveal Yourself to him in a powerful and undeniable way. Let him know that he is deeply loved, that he has a purpose, and that he is never alone. Provide for him, Lord, not only physically but emotionally and spiritually. Surround him with people who will uplift him, encourage him, and point him back to You. Break any chains of despair, doubt, or confusion, and replace them with hope, peace, and clarity. Let him find joy in Your presence and confidence in the path You have set before him. I also pray for Scott. Give him wisdom, patience, and strength as he supports his son. Fill him with Your peace and reassurance, knowing that You are at work in Luke’s life. Lord, we place Luke into Your loving hands, trusting that You will draw him close and lead him into the fullness of life You have prepared for him. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.

I have NEVER read a more heartfelt and loving prayer as yours, Rose.dy. Thank you. I think I understand a little bit what God feels each time his children choose another path, and while it kills me inside to see my son struggle and to not see Jesus as the answer, your prayer has given me hope in a time when I am dearly in need of it. THANK YOU! The funny thing is that I too walked away from God and it wasn’t until a near-death experience that I turned to God. Anyway, thank you for the mighty prayer – and love.

Praying for your beautiful son. Reach out to him ask him what help he needs. Bring food over to his apartment. Sometimes our children need things, but they won’t ask. I pray that God gives you all the strength to help heal your son’s depression.

I totally understand this. Two of my children have been very depressed. Sometimes life is so hard that we want to give up but that there is better things for you in the future. Give your son a hug. Sometimes that’s all they need.
