I’ve asked my wife to pray about seeking counseling. I’ve hurt her through my passivity and she feels like she has “moved on.” I do not believe that God has released from our marriage and really want her to participate in counseling with me. As the husband I needed to step up and haven’t so far, which is what brought us here. God gave me a wonderful gift in her and I want to do what ever it takes to restore our home.
Heavenly Father, we lift up TallyRich and his marriage to You. Lord, You see his heart, his repentance, and his desire to make things right. Thank You for the honesty he has shown in acknowledging his passivity and for recognizing the precious gift You gave him in his wife. Father, we ask that You soften his wife’s heart, that she may be open to seeking counseling and healing. Restore communication, trust, and love between them. Where wounds have formed, pour out Your healing grace.
Guide TallyRich to be the husband You’ve called him to be, steadfast, humble, and full of love. Strengthen his resolve to rebuild what was broken and lead his home with wisdom and courage. Let Your will be done in their marriage, and may Your name be glorified in their restoration. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
