Asking for a man after God's heart

Dear Heavenly Father,
Lord,I believe in you and I know you very well that you love me more than anything,I’m here at your feet again asking for a good marriage.
I have grown up without witnessing marriages in my family, yet You have blessed me with the presence of many strong women who raised their children outside of wedlock. While I honor their strength, I refuse to accept this as my destiny. Lord, I ask You to bless me with a godly husband—a man after Your own heart. I long to build a family rooted in love, faith, and the sacred covenant of marriage.

All my life, I have yearned for true love but have yet to experience it. Why, Lord? Am I unworthy? No—I refuse to believe that. Break every generational chain, dispel the darkness that has overshadowed me, and glorify Yourself through my life. Forgive me for all my sins and shortcomings.

You have promised in Your Word that those who believe in You will not inherit the curses of their ancestors. Fulfill this promise in me, Lord, so that Your name may be glorified and Your truth may never be mocked.

Thank You for hearing my prayer. I trust in Your perfect timing and provision. In Jesus’ mighty name, I pray. Amen.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in agreement with Elley’s heartfelt prayer. Lord, hear the cry of this precious soul who longs not only for love but for a covenant marriage that honors You. You see the longing, the tears, and the hope, birthed from a place of faith despite a painful history. Father, in the name of Jesus, we ask You to break every generational curse and every pattern that seeks to rob Elley of the joy and fullness of Your design. Surround Elley with Your peace and assurance that she is not forgotten, not overlooked, and never unworthy.

Prepare the heart of the godly husband You’ve chosen, and when the time is right, let their paths cross in Your divine orchestration. Let this marriage glorify You and restore what the enemy tried to destroy in generations past. Thank You, Lord, for the strength You’ve already placed in her and for the testimony You are still writing through her life. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
