I need prayer for my husband and how his anger and alcoholism negatively affect our family. He goes through phases of anger/depression and right now he’s mad at me and our daughter because we don’t celebrate Halloween. He is ignoring us and bitter, I pray God will speak to his heart and change him. I pray this anger he feels towards us will disappear by morning. I’m praying for two miracles, immediate and long term change.
I also need to learn how to love him where he’s at. I get so annoyed with his behavior and poor life choices that I don’t show him love.
I have a praise, I asked for prayer last month that he wouldn’t be miserable and mean throughout Halloween season and he wasn’t. That was an answer to prayer for sure!
Heavenly Father,
We lift up this prayer to You, asking for Your divine intervention in this family. We pray that You soften her husband’s heart and free him from the chains of anger and alcoholism. Lord, please bring peace to his spirit and heal the hurts that may be fueling his anger and depression. We ask for an immediate miracle tonight, that his heart would be softened by morning and that his anger toward his wife and daughter would fade. For the long term, we pray for transformation, that he would come to know Your love and find freedom from these destructive patterns.
Strengthen his wife’s heart as well, Lord. Help her to love him where he’s at, with compassion and patience, even when it is difficult. We thank You for the answered prayer during Halloween season, and we trust that You will continue to work in his life and in their family. Fill their home with peace, healing, and unity. In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen.
