From Rock Bottom to Redemption: A Prayer for Liga

Dear God,

I come to You with a heavy heart for Liga, my foster sister, who is going through a time of deep darkness and loss.
You see her pain, her wounds, and her desperate situation.

Lord, right now she is separated from her children β€” not only unable to see them, but now even forbidden to call or hear their voices.
Her heart must feel shattered. Her hope is fading.
But You, God, are close to the brokenhearted. You bind up wounds that seem beyond healing.

pray for freedom, God.
Freedom from alcohol.
Freedom from all destructive things that have taken root in her life β€” the things she once turned to for comfort but which are now consuming her.

Break those chains, Lord.
Whether it’s addiction, shame, fear, toxic thoughts, unhealthy relationships β€” remove everything that is not from You.
Heal the wounds that led her down this path. Restore her identity. Let her remember who she is in Your eyes.

Give her the strength to choose differently.
Send people who will love her fiercely and walk with her patiently.
And when she feels alone, speak softly to her heart, reminding her that You are still here, and You have not given up on her β€” not for a second.

Hold her children close, too. Let them feel peace and love in ways they don’t yet understand.
And let the day come, God, when their hearts reconnect β€” when healing restores what brokenness tried to steal.

I speak life over Liga. I speak hope. I speak renewal.

In Jesus name I pray

Amen.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in agreement with this heartfelt prayer written by Marita Katherine. Please receive every word she has spoken on behalf of her foster sister, Liga. Lord, pray through her, pray the depths of her cry, and intercede where our words fall short. Draw near to her, Lord. Let her feel Your love, and let her not give up. Surround her with people who carry Your heart. And until she walks in full restoration, carry her every step of the way. In the name of Jesus, Amen.
