Please pray for me to have the strength to overcome my alcoholism. I get so depressed from losing loved ones and stress from financial struggles. I self medicated with alcohol and I get so sick I can’t do anything for my family. I love my family and know I need to be there for them but alcohol gets in the way. I pray that I’ll have the strength to not need or want to drink.
Heavenly Father, we come before You with humility and sincerity, lifting up this prayer to You. Please grant this person the strength to overcome their struggle with alcoholism. In their time of despair and hardship, through the loss of loved ones and financial challenges, they have turned to alcohol to cope. We ask that You provide them with the courage and resilience to break free from this cycle, and to find peace and healing through You, instead of substances that harm them.
Help them find comfort and hope in Your love, and guide them to the support and strength they need to face their pain and worries. Please bless their family, whom they love dearly, and let them feel Your presence as they work toward becoming the person they know they need to be for their loved ones.
We ask that You instill in them the willpower to resist temptation and the faith to know that with You, all things are possible. May Your grace replace their cravings, and may Your peace bring them clarity and purpose. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
