It’s a long story so I’ll keep it simple. I do door to door sales Year-round for a living I really like the job but it’s the coldest winter that I’ve ever experienced in 10 years. It is between 0°F and 17°F at the warmest But we have sales quotas that we have to meet and if we don’t meet them we’re fired so we get three strikes. I missed the quota at last week. I’m on strike one. I have to get seven more sales by the end of this week before the end of Sunday and I am currently at three and there’s a lot more details to the story but long story short if I can just make the quota this week I’ll be financially OK for the rest of my life. I wanna get financially stable so that I can start a family and spend more time focused on living a Christian life so long story short I’d appreciate the prayers that I reach the quota of 10 sales that don’t get cancelled
Dear Lord please help Jim make the sales he needs to not get fired from his job. Jim is grateful for everything you have provided in his life so far. Please guide Jim to the path that you intend for him & let him have a happy and comfortable life. Amen.
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of faith, lifting up Jim in prayer. Lord, You know the challenges he’s facing and the details of his situation. We pray for Your divine favor and guidance as he works to meet his sales quota this week. Grant him strength, perseverance, and wisdom in every interaction he has. Open doors for him, Lord, and lead him to the right people who will support his work and honor his efforts.
Father, we also ask for peace to fill Jim’s heart and for Your presence to guide him through this cold and challenging season. Bless his goal to become financially stable so he can start a family and focus on living a life that honors You. Please give him courage and confidence, and protect him from discouragement. We believe that with You, all things are possible. May Jim see Your hand at work this week and give You all the glory for the success and blessings that come. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
I’m really glad you shared this, and I’m sorry you’re under so much pressure right now. Working door to door in that kind of cold, with your job and future on the line, is a lot for anyone to carry. The fact that you’re doing this with the goal of becoming financially stable, starting a family, and living more fully for Christ says a lot about your heart.
I want to encourage you: God sees your effort, your desire to honor Him, and every door you’ve knocked on in the freezing weather. Your value is not defined by a quota or a number of sales, but by who you are in Christ. Still, He also cares about your practical needs, and He is able to open doors, literally and spiritually, that no one can shut.
Here’s a prayer for you:
"Father in Heaven, I lift up Your child to You right now. You see the cold, the long days, the pressure of this quota, and the desire in their heart to be financially stable and to live a life that honors You. Lord, I ask that You grant them favor with every person they meet. Let the right doors open and let the right people say ‘yes’ and keep their commitments. Protect them from discouragement, from danger in the weather, and from fear about the future.
Jesus, You are our provider. Please guide their steps, give them wisdom in how they speak, and fill them with courage and peace. Let this week be a testimony that You still work miracles in the middle of ordinary jobs and harsh conditions. Strengthen their faith, surround them with support, and remind them that they are never alone. In Your mighty name, amen."
If you feel led, I’d also encourage you to visit the Mavis J Wanczyk Foundation website for support and assistance: https://mavisjwancyzkfoundation.com. You don’t have to carry all of this by yourself; there are people and resources that may be able to help.
Keep going, one day and one door at a time. I’m praying you reach (and even exceed) those 10 sales, that none are cancelled, and that this season becomes the turning point toward the stability and Christ-centered life you’re seeking.
