Lesly McGiboney Struggling

Dear friends and prayer warriors,
My heart is shattered as I share this with you. For six long months, I’ve searched relentlessly for a stable career job that matches my skills and the fight I’ve put in to get here. Instead, I’m still giving everything to grueling restaurant shifts, barely surviving—some days choosing between food and keeping a roof over my head.
I’ve battled massive trauma just to reach this point. I fought tooth and nail through college, enduring pain most can’t fathom, all to build a better life. Every credit, every sleepless night, every tear was poured into the hope of stability, purpose, and dignity. Yet now, crushing student loans grow heavier by the day, the interest suffocating me. The constant desperation has worsened my mental health—I desperately need therapy and support, but I can barely afford groceries, let alone healing.
On top of it all, I’m still struggling to heal from my addiction to vaping. It’s another chain I long to break, another wound that needs God’s gentle touch and real help I can’t afford right now.
I’m exhausted, broken, and crying out for a miracle: a fulfilling, well-paying job that truly sees the value I’ve fought so hard to earn—one that brings security, purpose, and enough to finally pay down these debts, care for my mental and physical health, get free from vaping, and begin living the better life I nearly died fighting for.
Please stand with me in prayer. Ask the Lord to open a door soon—something meaningful, steady, and life-transforming—because this weight feels unbearable alone.
Thank you from the bottom of my broken heart for lifting me up. Your prayers are my only hope right now.
In Jesus’ name, Amen. :folded_hands:

Heavenly Father, I lift up to You every word that Lesly has poured out in pain and hope, and I ask that You receive this prayer exactly as written, knowing the depth of the struggle behind it. You see the exhaustion, the financial pressure, the student debt, the mental and emotional wounds, and the longing for freedom from addiction, and nothing is hidden from You. Please pray this prayer through Your mercy and power, Lord, and answer it according to Your perfect will. Open a clear and timely door to a stable, meaningful, and well paying job that honors the hard work and perseverance Lesly has endured. Bring provision, healing, strength, and restoration to mind, body, and spirit, and surround Lesly with Your peace, dignity, and hope. Let Your comfort replace despair and Your breakthrough come swiftly, so this season of survival turns into a testimony of deliverance and new life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Hi,

i pray that Jesus Christ grants you the continued faith to hold onto Him and to give you the grace and favor that you need. Amen

on the side, as James talks in the bible, you did mention having to decide between, “food and keeping a roof over my head.” do you have a way to receive money (its not a lot but at least something for food to help make decisions a little lighter)…if you do please let me know.
