Please pray for my sister who is married to an extreme narcissist. She has a newborn baby and what should be the most joyful time of her life has become an absolute nightmare. He blames her for everything, shames her for everything, criticizes her for everything, wants to control her and the baby, can’t take the baby for a walk without a struggle because he wants to keep them both trapped at home all the time, doesn’t let her speak, doesn’t care to listen, can’t have a mutually constructive conversation, is very secretive about his finances, and is very critical of every little thing to do with the baby when he doesn’t even help take care because he is busy playing video games yet has the audacity to tell her to put her phone away when she is caring for the baby (when she is using the phone to log the baby’s feeding times). She’s hardly sleeping and is still healing postpartum but he doesn’t care or help with anything because everything is a burden to him. He complains when she runs the laundry because it’s “too loud” on his day off. Funny because he only works 4 days a week and can’t seem to lift a finger unless it’s for his videogame remote. He lied and made false promises to marry her and now that he has his trophy wife, he hasn’t held back from revealing his true self, and with the baby his behavior has only gotten exponentially worse. My heart breaks for my sister who is pure and innocent with a tender heart. I can’t believe that she, who is the most thoughtful and caring person I know, is married to the most selfish and self-serving monster. We are so heartbroken and scared and lost.
