I’ve been diagnosed with Merkel cell carcinoma, a rare and aggressive cancer that was found in my lymph nodes. On January 20th, I’ll be undergoing surgery to remove the affected node, and afterward I’ll have a PET scan to see if the cancer has spread. Please pray that God’s hand guides the doctors and strengthens me through the surgery, and that no cancer is found.

Heavenly Father, we lift up Chuck to You just as he has shared his heart. You know his diagnosis of Merkel cell carcinoma and that it has been found in his lymph nodes. As he prepares for surgery on January 20th to remove the affected node and for the PET scan that will follow, we ask that Your mighty hand guide the doctors with wisdom, precision, and peace. Strengthen Chuck’s body, mind, and spirit through the surgery and recovery, calm every fear, and surround him with Your presence. We pray that no cancer is found and that healing and restoration flow through his body. We trust in Your power, Your mercy, and Your perfect will, and we place Chuck completely in Your loving care.
