My husband was on a drug for 13 yrs. It can cause terrible impulse control disorders. When it was realized he had impulse control disorder he was taken off cold turkey by doctor. This was a dangerous move. My husband and I felt like as bad as what he did gambling etc…it had made our marriage stronger after we worked through it. Our communication was better then ever. Then all of a sudden things went down hill very quickly and he says he didn’t love me that he never loved me. This is from a dopamine dysfunction where he had late onset dopamine agonist withdrawal. It causes emotional blunting. He is planning on moving out. He agreed to an appt with a specialist that handles this syndrome but he says it won’t make any difference. Please pray that his brain heals quickly and our marriage is saved. I am devastated and don’t know what to do as he has convinced himself of a false history.
