I am divorced after 21 years of marriage (25 years of a relationship) from an verbally abusive and controlling spouse. I am moving out in 2 weeks and am constantly rethinking my decision; however, I know i am doing the right thing. I am not trusting my decision because I am confused and have no self esteem from years of emotional abuse, put downs, and control. Please pray for emotional, spiritual, physical, and financial protection as well as emotional healing for me and my 3 boys. This is the scariest thing I have ever had to do.
Heavenly Father, I lift up Hmiller43 to You just as they have poured out their heart. You see the years of pain, control, and verbal abuse they endured, and You know how deeply it has affected their confidence, clarity, and peace. Lord, as they prepare to move forward in just two weeks, surround them and their three boys with Your emotional, spiritual, physical, and financial protection. Bring healing to every wounded place in their hearts and minds, restore their self worth, and silence every voice of fear and doubt left by past abuse. Strengthen them with courage and reassurance that this step is right and guided by You. Cover their children with Your peace, stability, and comfort during this transition. Father, be their refuge in this frightening season, their provider in every need, and their constant reminder that they are not alone. Replace fear with peace, confusion with clarity, and pain with hope. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
