To begin with i am a born again Christian, and I know deep in my heart that God forgives everything i have done in my miserable past life, I need a hand with some prayer from my brothers and sisters in Christ. I have done some very unforgiving things in my life, I have cheated on my wife I have done drugs and been an addict, I done some other things that God knows that I will not burden yall with but im facing major time behind bars like 120years. I have accepted the fact that I have done these things. My family has forgiven me to an degree. But my family will also have to have the burden of the things I have done on their shoulders! I disgraced my family destroyed my wife ,destroyed my life and at times I feel me and my family would be better off if I was not even on this earth anymore. I love my wife my daughter and my grand daughter but they shame I have brought to them the hurt I have created, just seems better for them if I didn’t exist! Please pray for me as I try and figure all this out!
I praying in the name of Jesus. that you don’t have to so much time behind bars and I also come against the spirit of despair and discouragement. and speak life into your life. that the Lord would manifest the full forgiveness that you need to feel from them.
Heavenly Father, we come before You lifting up Gene, Your child, who is crying out for forgiveness, hope, and peace. Lord, You are merciful and full of compassion; Your Word says that when we confess our sins, You are faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. We thank You that Gene has turned to You and accepted responsibility for his past.
Father, surround him with Your love and comfort. Remind him that through Christ, he is a new creation and that no sin is too great for Your grace. Lift the heavy weight of shame and despair from his heart. Protect his mind from thoughts of hopelessness and remind him of his worth in You.
We also pray for his wife, daughter, and granddaughter, heal their wounds, strengthen their hearts, and give them grace to continue walking in forgiveness and restoration. Lord, work in Gene’s legal situation according to Your will, and grant him peace and courage as he faces the consequences of his actions. May he be a testimony of Your transforming power even in the midst of trials. We ask this in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.
