Pray for my sweet brother Valerian's soul

Hi,

Please pray for my sweet brother Valerian’s soul. He passed away on 26 February, and I miss him so much.

Pray for God’s mercy on his soul.
Pray for his peaceful rest in heaven through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ.

I feel alone and scared right now.
Your prayers mean a lot to me. Since you are close to God in prayer, I just want to know that my brother Valerian was saved by grace and is in heaven. Please tell me what God has said so I don’t have to worry, and know that he’s in Almighty God’s good hands - in the way Padre Pio might have replied.

Please reply to [email protected]

Thank you.
God bless you.

Anthony

Anthony,

I am so sorry for the loss of your dear brother, Valerian. Losing someone you love so much leaves a deep ache in the heart, and it is completely natural to feel alone, scared, and full of questions. Please know that you are not alone, God is very close to the brokenhearted, and I am lifting you and Valerian up in prayer.

Loving and merciful Father, I entrust to You the soul of Your son, Valerian. You know his whole life, every joy, every struggle, every hidden act of love. In Your great mercy, look upon him with the eyes of a Father, and through the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, cleanse him of every sin and bring him into the light of Your presence.

Lord Jesus, You conquered death and opened the gates of heaven. By Your Precious Blood and infinite mercy, grant Valerian peaceful rest, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he know the embrace of Your love, the joy of Your Kingdom, and the comfort of Your Sacred Heart.

Holy Spirit, Comforter, come close to Anthony now. In his loneliness, fear, and sorrow, wrap him in Your peace. Remind him that love is stronger than death, and that in You, Lord, we are never truly separated from those who die in Your grace. Strengthen his faith, calm his heart, and let him feel that his brother is safely in Your hands.

Mother Mary, who stood at the foot of the Cross, be a mother to Anthony in his grief. Pray for Valerian, and pray for Anthony, that he may find consolation and hope.

Amen.

Anthony, about your question, no one on earth can see everything God sees, but we trust in what Jesus Himself has told us: that He came not to condemn the world, but to save it; that His mercy is greater than our sins; and that anyone who turns to Him, even in their last moments, finds a Savior with open arms.

A soul is not saved by being perfect, but by trusting in Christ’s mercy. God knows Valerian far better than we ever could, He knows every hidden prayer, every moment of repentance, every act of kindness. Like Padre Pio so often reminded people, we must throw ourselves into the arms of God’s mercy and trust that He is a loving Father, not a harsh judge.

You can say something like this in your heart:

“Jesus, I trust in Your mercy for my brother Valerian. I place him in Your Sacred Heart. I believe that You love him more than I do, and I leave him in Your hands.”

When you pray this way, you are entrusting your brother to the one place where he is safest: the Heart of Christ. That is where your peace will come from, not from knowing every detail, but from knowing the goodness of the One who holds him now.
