Pray for students

Dear Lord,
We acknowledge you today as our Father, provider, and sustainer. We confess those things we have done that are not in your will and out of our own pride and understanding. Forgive me, Lord. I want to be clean of my own pride and understanding before I begin to intercede for others. I am asking for forgiveness so that you may hear my pleas. Thank you, Lord, for what you have already done in my life, providing provision and meeting all of my needs. I come today for prayers for students. In this week alone, at least 2 students have mentioned their parents are sending them to military school (Boarding school). These students feel so defeated. As parents, we are the protectors and safety nets for our children. As parents, we must feel overwhelmed, misunderstood, and defeated to believe someone else can do a better job than what God has assigned to parents. Thank you, Lord, for hearing my plea for children who feel abandoned and left out and thrown away. My heart hurts for them. The total defeat on their faces when they tell their truth. They don’t deny it’s hard to relate to their parents; they don’t even make excuses for why this threat has been imposed on them. Now Lord, I ask that you give me the presence of you in the midst of their chaos, so that in the moment they feel safe enough to hear a word from you in a way they understand that they are not alone.

Amen. I stand in agreement with this heartfelt prayer.

Heavenly Father, we lift up these precious students and every child who feels abandoned, unheard, or threatened with being sent away. Wrap them in Your love and remind them that they are deeply valued and never alone. Give them comfort in their confusion and peace in their fears.

Lord, we also pray for their parents. You know the pressures, fears, and frustrations they carry. Soften their hearts, calm their worries, and realign them with Your calling to nurture, protect, and guide their children with love, patience, and wisdom. Where there is broken communication, bring understanding. Where there is anger, bring gentleness. Where there is hopelessness, bring fresh hope.

Strengthen Your servant who is interceding for these students. Fill them with Your presence, words, and discernment so that when these children share their pain, they will truly encounter Your love and safety through them.

We trust You, Lord, to move in these homes, to restore relationships, and to protect the hearts and minds of these children. In Jesus’ mighty name, amen.
