Prayer for Libyan delegation in DC right now. 14 local Christians were sent to prison (most for 8 years) just for meeting together

Please join me in urgent prayer for a breakthrough in Libya.
The Prime Minister of western Libya is visiting Washington, D.C. in the coming days, seeking aid from the United States and other UN nations to help end the civil war that has devastated the region for over a decade.

At the same time, several NGOs in Europe and the U.S.—organizations that advocate for the rights of persecuted Christians—have drafted a letter urging the Libyan delegation to intervene in a heartbreaking case: 14 Christian men and 1 woman have been sentenced to long prison terms simply for their faith.

This moment could be one of the most crucial diplomatic opportunities in years to bring attention to religious freedom in Libya. We ask that God would:

  • Move powerfully on the hearts of American leaders—especially those in the Cabinet and Congress who profess Christ—to speak boldly for justice.
  • Open ears and soften hearts within the Libyan leadership.
  • Bring hope and endurance to our persecuted brothers and sisters in Libya.
  • Turn this visit into a catalyst for peace, freedom, and protection for all believers.

Let’s unite our voices in prayer that God’s justice, mercy, and truth would prevail.

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” —Psalm 34:18
