I need to be prayed for after having a medical scare. On July 1st, I had to go to the ER for chronic urinary retention. I had to have a catheter inserted, and I had my urologist appointment today. They were still unable to find anything, and I have another appointment on Wednesday next week. If they still can’t find anything, then I need to see a neurologist since my urologist thinks that my urinary retention is being caused by a rare side effect of one of my medications. I also ask that you please pray for my friend Sarah’s mother Jolene. She has been a very steadfast Christian for as long as I have known her daughter since middle school. As a reborn Christian, I feel like Jolene was sent by God to help me back on the path of following Him and Jesus, and she has helped me with letting them back into my heart. She has been praying for me for a long time, especially whenever I struggled with my mental health and disability. She has been very enthusiastic and supportive since I told her I became a Christian again, but her and Sarah have recently gotten really bad news. Jolene was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. She has a lot of other medical issues such as type 2 diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, and arthritis. I have been supportive towards her by sending her a verse often on messenger and telling her I’m still praying for her, and she appreciates it and is supportive towards me in turn. I’ll never forget the time she told me that if she were able to, she would take me in as a child of her own, because she and her daughter always hated how my toxic and abusive parents treated me when I was growing up with Sarah. I’ll also never forget the time I asked her to pray for my online friend in Ukraine, who I’ve known since the pandemic. Looking back, I asked Jolene to pray for my friend for a reason. When I told Jolene I found God, she told me that God has never forsaken me like I thought he did for a very long time, and he never will leave me behind. Jolene is a kind soul and a faithful servant of our Lord and our Savior, and I am really scared of losing her, and I recently had a relative in my family die from pancreatic cancer back in May. I am doing all I can to care for myself with my own medical issues I’m having while always keeping Jolene and Sarah in my thoughts and prayers, as well as many other people I know who are all struggling. My faith is strong, but I still feel scared. I need guidance and strength to get through all this.
