Please pray for my sick 3 week old newborn nephew (my sister’s new baby) who suddenly stopped breathing on Sunday at church and was resuscitated and rushed to hospital via ambulance and is now in NICU.
An update from yesterday: Tests so far have come back indicating no signs of infection. He was quite unsettled and struggled to sleep or become calm enough to feed. He was given some sedating pain relief to help him settle.
Update from today:
Baby had a nice long sleep overnight. Exactly what his body needed. He is so much more settled today. He had a very weak suck this morning so got the rest of his feed through a feeding tube.
His oxygen levels have been dropping slightly and then rising again today. As a precaution he is receiving breathing support again.
He had a temperature and has been receiving extra medications for that. They have also given him anticonvulsant medication as he has been having slight seizure like movements.
He has an MRI booked for 1pm tomorrow.
We are continuing to believe and pray that he will make a full recovery any prayer we can get will be appreciated
Heavenly Father, we lift this precious newborn before You. You know every detail of what happened, every breath he takes, and every need his tiny body has. Lord, please surround him with Your healing presence as he rests in the NICU. Strengthen his lungs, calm his temperature, stop every seizure-like movement, and restore his ability to feed and breathe on his own. Bless the upcoming MRI with clear, hopeful results and guide the hands and minds of every doctor and nurse caring for him. We also lift up the prayer written by this family, believing with them for a full and miraculous recovery. Comfort his parents and all who love him with peace that only You can give. In Jesus name, Amen.
Dear Lord God please strengthen this tiny baby and enable him to breathe easily and his heart to be strong. Please let whatever happened to him when he stopped breathing at church be a one-off event and never repeated. Please dear God let this little baby be healed from any illness or medical issue so that he is healthy & happy and able to feed well. Let him also receive spiritual nourishment of the Holy Spirit sent from Heaven to look after him so he can grow & thrive and be with his family safe & sound. I ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Saviour. Amen.

I’m thanking God with you that he was resuscitated, and I’m praying that the Lord will breathe His healing life into every part of his body, protect him in the NICU, and give the doctors and nurses wisdom, steady hands, and clear minds.
