Dear God,
I am calling out to you oh father God. Please hear my plea and prayers for my son. Please heal him, renew his mind, heart and spirit. Lead him to your ways. Please work on him and teach him of your mighty love and that you will never leave him or forsake him.
Please remind him everyday that he is loved by his family and most especially by you. Would you give him friends in the body of Christ that are able and willing to bear the burdens of his sadness with him.
Wash him with your blood, Jesus. Cast away his anxieties and depression and every negative things that is weighing him down. Cast away the enemy. Rule over my son that he may know that you powerful and that the enemy has no power over him.
Help him, Jesus, to believe that his identity is secure in you. Help him to turn toward you when he is hurting instead of turning toward the lies his depression tells him about his worth and his future. Help him to bring you every spark of rage, every desperate fear, every anxious worry, and every doubting thought. Give him the courage to confess honestly, as the psalmists confess, when darkness is his closest friend (Ps. 88:18), when his tears have been his food day and night (Ps. 42:3), when he feels forgotten by you (Ps. 13:1), and when his soul is full of troubles (Ps. 88:3).
I pray that he would know you, Jesus, as his joy.
Hold him fast, I pray. And help me to see him with your eyes. Surround him with your unfailing love and give him faith to believe that absolutely nothing can separate him from it (Rom. 8:38-39).
In Jesus’ holy name I pray. Amen.
