I am requesting prayer for my son’s marriage. He has a 2 year old son and a baby on the way. They are struggling financially. He just landed a good job and she quit working 2 years ago right before they got married. She is controlling and berates and gaslights him constantly, and is paranoid about different things to the point where she won’t leave their tiny apartment. It appears that she is suffering from mental illness but refuses to get any kind of help or marriage counseling. It is not only unhealthy for my son, but for their toddler. He is going to retain a lawyer and start divorce proceedings and try to get full custody. At the same time, he knows he can’t leave her with child, and she cannot support or take care of herself. Please pray for God’s will to be done, and for His comfort and healing for the family. Thank you so much!
Praying that God will bring healing to this relationship and grant your son wisdom in this decision.
Dear Lord
Please bring strength back to this family. Guide them to therapy, may they get the help they need and their marriage be saved. Place your protecting hands over them during this challenging time.
Amen
Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble hearts, lifting up this family in need of Your divine intervention. Lord, we pray for this son, his wife, their young child, and the baby on the way. You see their struggles, their pain, and the challenges they face. We ask for Your wisdom and guidance to direct their steps and for Your will to be done in their marriage and family. Lord, we pray for this man’s wife, who appears to be battling deep emotional and mental health struggles. We ask that You open her heart to receive help and healing. Bring clarity, peace, and understanding into her life and remove any paranoia or fear that keeps her trapped. Touch her mind and spirit, Lord, and fill her with Your love and peace.
We also lift up the husband, Lord. Strengthen him and fill him with patience, compassion, and courage as he navigates this difficult season. Give him wisdom to make decisions that honor You and prioritize the well-being of his children. If reconciliation is Your will, we pray for a softened heart and transformation for both of them. If separation is necessary, guide him to handle it with integrity and care. We ask for protection over their little child and the baby yet to be born. Surround them with love and safety. Grant this family Your peace that surpasses all understanding and bring healing, restoration, and provision to their lives. Thank You, Lord, for being a refuge in times of trouble. We trust in Your goodness and mercy, knowing that You work all things together for the good of those who love You. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
