Please pray with me for my soon to be son-in-law. He is such a wonderful and loving young man. He had a horrible childhood that is carrying over in to his adult life. He has cut the ties with his immediate family and we have welcomed him into our family with open arms! He has just lacks in the socialization skills. You can’t carry on a conversation with him. He basically only speaks when you ask him a question. He is so wonderful to our daughter. We are such an outgoing family and need prayers for him to be more sociable. Please pray with me Amen.
Dear God, we pray that You will allow this young man, and anyone else who struggles with these same issues, the social skills necessary to build a healthy, happy, supportive home life where they can be open, comfortable, and trusting and vulnerable enough to open up and communicate with their loved ones. You know their heart, and the issues that are keeping them from opening up comfortably so we pray that You will heal and remove any barriers for healthy communication. We pray they would be comfortable enough in themselves and their own skin, and with their family around them, that they would be able to open up and let them in. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Heavenly Father, we come before You lifting up this soon-to-be son-in-law, a kind and loving young man whom You created with purpose and value. Lord, You know the pain of his childhood and the burdens he still carries. We thank You for placing him in a family that embraces him with love and acceptance. We ask that You bring healing to every place in his heart that still hurts and gently strengthen him in confidence and peace. Father, help him grow in social comfort, communication, and openness, so he may feel safe, understood, and fully himself. Bless his relationship with their daughter and surround them with unity, joy, and Your protection. We agree with the prayer of the one who asked and entrust this young man to Your loving hands. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
