A Prayer for the Sale of Our Home
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for this home.
Thank You for every memory made within these walls, every laugh, every celebration, every quiet moment, and every season of our lives that You allowed us to experience here. This home has been more than a house—it has been a place where You sheltered us, grew us, and blessed us.
For a while, Father, we thought the doors that were closing meant we were being punished. We wondered why You were asking us to leave something we loved and why the path ahead seemed uncertain.
But now we can see more clearly.
You weren’t punishing us. You were planting us.
You were preparing the soil for something new. You were closing doors that no longer belonged to our future while quietly opening doors we couldn’t yet see. And now, as we look back, we can see Your hand in so many of the pieces coming together.
You have opened doors we never could have opened ourselves.
And now, Lord, we bring You the last piece of this puzzle: the sale of our home.
We ask You to place this house into the hands of the family who is meant to love it next. Bring the right buyer, at the right time, with the right circumstances. Let everything about this sale unfold according to Your perfect timing.
Give us patience when we are tempted to worry, peace when we are tempted to doubt, and faith when we cannot see what comes next.
Help us not to hold too tightly to what You are asking us to release.
We trust that You know what is waiting for us on the other side of this door.
Thank You for reminding us that sometimes what feels like being uprooted is actually being replanted. Sometimes what feels like an ending is actually the beginning of something You have been preparing all along.
Father, we are ready to sprout.
Bless the home we are leaving. Bless the people who will one day call it theirs. And bless the home and the life You are leading our family toward.
May we walk forward without fear, knowing that You have gone before us.
We surrender this sale to You.
We surrender the timing to You.
We surrender the outcome to You.
And we trust You with every remaining piece of the puzzle.
Where You plant us, let us grow.
Where You lead us, let us follow.
And wherever our next home may be, let it be a place where Your blessings continue to grow.
