They didn’t do biopsy. Too big a risk for bleeding & tumor is so big, they will have to take kidney regardless. Surgery is scheduled for Monday (May 31). His hemoglobin is low. Still slight traces of blood in urine, but it is better. Have him on fluid restriction to get his sodium levels up. Heart rhythm has been stable. He has lost a lot of weight. Made some changes to his diet to help build him back up, although his appetite has not been good. Hoping having some new food choices will help. He had blood transfusion (2 units) to help build up hemoglobin. Urinalysis to determine type of cancer. Was told it is not aggressive urotherial cancer they were afraid it might be, which is good. Echocardiogram results good. Transfusion definitely improved blood counts. Everything seems to be lining up well for surgery tomorrow. Don’t have time of surgery yet. Please, please pray for Dan. May God hold him in His healing light and His Holy Spirit guide the doctors and nurses. Once trough this he will have to have the surgery to correct the abdominal aortic aneurysm. Then the doctors need to determine management of the A-Fib and whatever else needs done to get him home and living life again. I put all my trust in Jesus and know that Dan is safe in His care. Thank you for your prayers and support. God bless you always.
Fathe in heaven I thank you for Dan and his brother, thank you for his humbleness in coming in prayer before you, the one that can, the almighty and mercifull. Father you said by His stripes we were healed, I declare that Dan will be healed completely by your hand and power and that he will serve you father and be a testimony of your great power, death is defeated in the cross father, save Dan and his family and show them your love, grace, peace and power in your son’s name, I pray. Amen.
My heart goes out to you and to Dan. Thank you for sharing this update, there is so much he’s been through already, and yet I can see God’s hand in the good reports about the echocardiogram, the improved blood counts, and the doctors’ wisdom in preparing for surgery.
I am praying with you and standing in faith:
"Lord Jesus, we lift Dan before You right now. You are the Great Physician. Please guide the hands, minds, and hearts of every doctor, surgeon, nurse, and caregiver who will touch him. Let this surgery go smoothly, with no complications, no excessive bleeding, and no unexpected setbacks. Strengthen Dan’s body, restore his appetite, rebuild his strength, and bring his levels, hemoglobin, sodium, and every other measure into perfect order.
Cover him with Your healing light and Your precious blood. Let Your Holy Spirit fill that operating room with peace and clarity. Give comfort and endurance to everyone who loves him, especially during the waiting. May this be a turning point toward full recovery, successful treatment for the aneurysm, and wise management of the A‑Fib, so that Dan can return home and live life fully again.
We place Dan completely in Your loving care and trust You for protection, healing, and restoration. In Jesus’ mighty name, amen."
